My Poor Blog

I think my blog needs a makeover. I am just a fan of YA Books and love to tell other people about them. I realize now that I wasn't doing a review of books I was just telling others about the books I love. I did not think doing a blog would be this hard. Well I am going to try one at a time and see if I cant do better on my book reviews and not do a book report about them, even though I think book reports are more fun.

I may never be successful at the blogger thing. But really it is for my own enjoyment and anyone else that happens to stop by. If you stop by please leave a comment and let me know if you can think of anything to improve my blog.

I know there are millions of book readers all over the world that love YA Books like myself. There is no shortage of blogs talking about them and reviewing them. I would like my page to be different. I just need some great ideas.

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Grace love wolves. Especially the one with the yellow eyes. Attacked by wolves at a young age Grace was saved by the wolf with the yellow eyes, his name is Sam. Since then she has spent hours watching the wolves behind her house. The yellow eyed one feels familiar to her but she doesnt know why. Grace doesnt know he is a werewolf and there are others like him. This is a story about Love and the sacrifices we sometimes make for love. While I was reading this book I felt like I was 17 again and I was in love. Ms Steifvater captures the essence of pure love in Shiver along with action, heartbreak, death and longing.

I for one would recommend this book to anyone. This will go on my favorites of all times.
She has another book coming out soon called Linger a companion book to Shiver. If you want to know more please visit her website.

VAMPIRE DIARIES THE RETURN-SHADOW SOULS

L J Smith is my hero. I love all of her books including this one. Elaina is trying to get Stephan out of a prison in another dimension and Damon is helping her. Her feelings are being torn between Damon and Stephan and really I don't blame her. She knows she loves Stephan and misses him badly, but Damon is in love with her and she is confused though she seems to be telling herself she is not. Elaina and her friends travel to the other dimension to save Stephan and run into so much trouble.

This book is really worth the read especially if you have been following these books. It is even if you haven't been following them. It will want to make you read the others from start to finish.

My appreciation to L J Smith.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like about the book. I hear there is a surprise ending. So read on. shadow souls

The Accidental Werewolf by Dakota Cassidy

Do you like to laugh? I mean ROTFL. Thats what I did when I read this book. It is about a girl named Marty that accidentally gets turned into a werewolf...by a really hot werewolf guy. After he tells her hilarity ensues. She doesnt believe him, but soon she does when she realises she has a tail, a real dog like tail.
This is the funniest book I have ever read. Everyone in my house came running to see what was wrong with me when I started laughing so hard I couldnt breathe. I was walking around with mascara all over my face and wondering why everyone was looking at me so funny.
She has many more Accidental books. I am going to read everyone of them. I hope you do too.

Books Books Books

One thing about me. I Love books. I can read a book a day. The best thing about books are they can lead you into another world where anything can happen. The characters can live in your subconsious and allows you to live another life other than the one you now lead. I love being able to get my hands on a good book.

Why watch TV when I can pick up a book and read for hours? I am in my own little heaven.

One of the most recent series of books I have read is called The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clair. This is one of the best series I have read. There is really never a dull moment and is filled with drama, action & mystery. I have read the first two "City of Bones" and "City of Ashes" and am going to start on the last one "City of Glass" next. Well I dont know if it is the last one or not but it is the next one. If you are looking for some great books to read, please try these books. You will not be disappointed.

UPDATE: I read the last book yesterday and I promise you will not be disappointed with any of these books.
